The other six participating institutions are: the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea and the National Folk Museum of Korea (both affiliates of Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism), and the Seoul Museum of History, the Seoul Museum of Craft Art, the Seoul Museum of Art, and the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts (affiliated with the Seoul Metropolitan Government).

The digital leaflet provides location and visit information for the eight nearby public cultural institutions around Gwanghwamun, along with details on exhibitions, events, and more. Created in digital format rather than paper, it is environmentally friendly and can be easily accessed by individuals using their personal smartphones via QR codes and the following link:
https://tagdetail.com/viewer/6648881e9f407f5fb664da85

This digital leaflet is offered in five languages: Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish, to accommodate a broad spectrum of international visitors. Foreigners can access the leaflet at any time, even after returning to their home countries, through the QR code, and they can share the embedded link with friends to disseminate information. Instructions for accessing the digital leaflet through the QR code can be found at major tourist information centers in Seoul, including those at Terminal 1 at Incheon International Airport, Gwanghwamun, Myeongdong, and Insadong.

The director of the National Palace Museum of Korea related, “We are delighted to offer this digital leaflet, especially with the significant increase in tourists following the restoration of the Gwanghwamun “woldae”, an elevated ceremonial stage in front of the palace gates. This marks the first collaboration among cultural institutions in the Gwanghwamun area, and represents a remarkable shift in public service approach from a visitor’s perspective.”

The National Palace Museum of Korea operating under the Korea Heritage Service aims to expand opportunities for more domestic and international visitors to actively engage in discovering the value and significance of the Korean cultural heritage in the future.
